Overview — interest free loan scheme
Whether you are a man or a woman, we’ll share city-by-city information on how many people across Pakistan have received loans. You’ll learn the latest details today. If you haven’t applied yet, we’ll show you how to apply; and if you already applied but haven’t received the amount, we’ll show you how to check your status, how much your monthly installment will be, and many other new details about the Prime Minister Youth Loan program. You can also obtain a loan via the Digital Youth Hub app—that is, through the mobile loan application. We’ll explain how to apply through the app or officially through their website. You’ll be informed with complete information in today’s video.
Key Details:
- City-by-city loan distribution updates across Pakistan.
- Guidance for both men and women on how to apply for the loan.
- Step-by-step method to check loan status if you’ve already applied.
- Information on monthly installment amounts and repayment schedule.
- Option to apply through the Digital Youth Hub app or the official website.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced a special loan scheme for unemployed individuals. Under this initiative, men and women aged between 18 to 45 years who wish to start a new business or expand an existing one can obtain an interest-free loan of Rs 5 lakh (Rs 500,000) from the Government of Pakistan. The loan must be repaid within 3 years through easy monthly installments, with no payments required for the first six months.
Additional Information:
- The scheme is open to all provinces of Pakistan.
- Loans are interest-free and aimed at promoting self-employment.
- Applicants can choose between mobile app or official website for applying.
Installment Calculator PM loan 2025
Lastly, if you want to calculate your monthly installment, click on Loan Calculator. Enter how much you have taken and the number of years—1, 2, or 3—you’ll repay. Up to Rs 5 lakh is interest-free with repayment over three years; for larger amounts you can go up to 8 years, but those carry interest. Click Calculate to see monthly and annual installment details. You will get Rs 5 lakh at zero markup; complete details are written here for you to read.
Example setup
Now I’ll first go to the calculator and show you how much your monthly installment would be. This is important.
- Loan amount: Rs 5 lakh.
- Loan period on the portal goes up to 8 years, but select 3 years to remain interest-free. If you select more than 3 years, you’ll have to pay interest.
- Click Calculate, and it will generate the full 36-month schedule.
- With Rs 5 lakh at 0% annual interest over 3 years, the monthly installment comes to about Rs 13,890.
Grace period and repayment adjustment
As I mentioned earlier, the first 6 months require no installment, because the government understands that a new business usually doesn’t generate income immediately. With the 6-month relaxation, you will repay within 30 months; in that case, the installment will be roughly around Rs 15,000 per month—maybe even a bit lower, around fourteen-thousand-something.
Loan amount options and interest
Note: you don’t have to apply for the full Rs 5 lakh; you can apply for less—Rs 1 lakh, 2 lakh, 3 lakh, or 4 lakh. But if you go above Rs 5 lakh, you will pay interest
Installment Calculator — PM Loan Scheme
Up to Rs 5 lakh is interest‑free with repayment over 3 years (0% markup). You can optionally apply a 6‑month grace (no installments). For amounts above Rs 5 lakh or tenures beyond 3 years (up to 8 years), please enter the bank’s annual interest rate.

From Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, the markup is zero, meaning it’s a completely interest-free loan. If you apply within this range, you’ll receive the full amount without any interest charges.
However, for higher loan amounts, a small markup applies:
- For loans between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh, the markup is 5%.
- For loans between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 75 lakh, the markup is 7%.
It’s recommended to apply under the Rs 5 lakh tier because:
- There’s no markup (interest).
- The approval chances are significantly higher in this category.
Loan Categories Summary:
- Tier 1: Interest-free loan up to Rs 5 lakh.
- Tier 2: Loan from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh (5% markup).
- Tier 3: Loan from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 75 lakh (7% markup).

City-wise approvals and examples
First, let us tell you which cities people have applied from and how many applications have been approved so far. For example, in Rahim Yar Khan, how many people applied and how many were approved. If you want to check the list for every city, we’ll give you the link in the video description. You can open it and check city-wise details—how many people are eligible, how much they have received, as well as details of submitted applications.
Read the city-wise details first. Many people say, “We aren’t getting the loan in our city.” That’s not true. From every province and city of Pakistan, people are applying under this loan scheme and receiving funds successfully through the official application.
For example, from what I’ve seen in Gujranwala—Gujranwala is “high alert”; many applications have been approved quickly there, and many are still pending. You can check city-wise progress in the following table:
| Province/Region | City | Application Status | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Punjab | Gujranwala | High approval rate | Many applications approved quickly; several pending |
| Punjab | Rahim Yar Khan | Active approvals | Applicants receiving funds |
| Punjab | Muzaffargarh | In process | Approvals ongoing |
| Punjab | Bihari | Limited approvals | Some pending |
| Punjab | Jhang | Active approvals | Steady progress |
| Punjab | Sargodha | In process | Approvals expected soon |
| Punjab | Bahawalpur | Active | Applications under review |
| Punjab | Khanewal | Processing | Many new applications |
| Punjab | Okara | Moderate approvals | Some pending cases |
| Punjab | Rawalpindi | Active | Several approved, others under process |
| Punjab | Attock | Moderate | Applications under review |
| Nationwide | All Provinces (Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, GB, AJK, Federal) | Eligible | Applicants from all cities can apply |
As mentioned, Gujranwala is currently showing a strong approval ratio. This isn’t being highlighted because I’m from Gujranwala, but because many applicants visit my office for guidance, and Alhamdulillah, we help them check their documents, explain the process, and guide them on how to apply properly so their loans are approved.
If you want to apply, first check the city list details. You can open the official links for all regions — Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and the Federal area — to view detailed information such as city names, approved applicants, amounts received, and pending applications.

All fields marked with a star (*) must be filled. The applicant must have a valid CNIC and a SIM registered against that CNIC. You can also submit complaints through the Citizen Portal if required. Make sure your CNIC is valid with NADRA and the form is filled correctly.
Before submitting your application, carefully review all details you’ve provided. Any incorrect information can cause issues during verification, and the bank representative may not be able to confirm your records properly.
Important guidelines and pro tips:
- Do not enter fake or dummy data. Around 1.9 million applications were rejected because of incorrect or fabricated details.
- Applications are accepted only online — no physical submissions are allowed.

What to do if not approved
If your loan application is not approved, don’t worry—there’s a proper process to check your application status and take the right action. If your status remains Yellow, submit a complaint through the Citizen Portal app. After some time, NADRA will verify your data and forward your details to the bank. Once your bank reviews and approves your application, you’ll receive a call from the bank to continue the process.
The overall review process usually takes about 43 days, during which you’ll either receive a response or can keep checking your application status online.
Regarding existing loans:
If you’ve already taken a loan from another institution and defaulted, there’s a high chance your application will not be approved. However, you must always provide truthful information—never hide details. If you have existing loans, mention the facility type, bank name, approved limit, outstanding amount, and monthly installment. If you haven’t taken any loan before, you can simply leave this section blank.
By following these instructions carefully and staying transparent, you can easily track your progress and improve your chances of receiving funds under this scheme.
